Marketing Related Information
In light of what follows, if you believe you can add some practical value that will give rise to increased awareness/readership of Beyond Neanderthal, I would love to hear from you. In particular, if you are a credible Publisher outside Australia, a potential Channel of Distribution for the book, or a Movie Producer. If you'd like to discuss, please send us an email.
Genre
From a marketing perspective, Beyond Neanderthal can probably best be described as a “Da Vinci Code for the more probing reader”.
The novel has also been crafted to have layers of appeal:
Romance: With sensitivity and humour, aspects of an evolving romance between two of the story’s heroes – who ultimately fall in love – are examined in detail. In turn, this examination gives rise to ‘clues’ which may help to unravel some of the mystery surrounding humanity’s evolutionary journey. (Emphasis has been placed on humour, cuisine, social graces and travel to exotic locations. Three sex scenes are tastefully described to highlight the differences between Animalistic, Kama Sutra and Tantric approaches to sex)
Mystery: The storyline addresses apparent “disconnects of logic” within society, and why these may have come about. (Comparable genre: Freemasonry). Beyond Neanderthal does not focus on Freemasonry per se, but rather on the possible sources of its so-called “secrets”. The Primary subject of examination has been Evolutionary History dating back to between 3,500 BCE and 3,000 BCE and prior, augmented by, Archaeology, Astronomy, Cartography and Palaeontology
Religion: The novel pierces the veil of religious dogma, and focuses on the similarities between Judaism, Christianity and Islam – as opposed to their differences (There is no directly comparable genre novel of which the author is aware)
Science Fiction: It describes various energy technologies and postulates how a suite of new generation non-fossil fuel energies might be used by humanity to address some life threatening challenges we are facing. (One alternative ‘synthetic’ fossil fuel is investigated, and two non-fossil fuel energy systems are discussed in tantalising detail)
Philosophy: It suggests an approach which might lead to a reconciliation of viewpoints amongst the descendants of Abraham; and also as between ‘Religion’ and Science
Conspiracy: Theories abound about so-called conspiracies amongst the so-called Power Elite. Some factual information is presented which appears to validate these theories, but deeper analysis arrives at a more subtle alternative conclusion. In turn, this conclusion points to a possible alternative - and more highly evolved - socio-economic structure for society; a variation on democracy/capitalism
Target Market
Thinking element of all three groups of Abrahamic descendants totalling roughly 3 billion people. Target market is estimated at 5% (150 million).
This project has been percolating in my mind for many years and I began to draft the manuscript in October 2005. Thank you for taking the trouble to help me make it a reality – in all our interests. Of course, if you email me directly, by using this link, I will try to answer – provided your communication addresses the question of how to maximise market penetration.
Yours sincerely,
